Code of conduct
This applies to every #HACK India event, chat group, to participants, mentors, volunteers and challenge owners alike.
- 01
Everyone in the room belongs there.
No harassment, no comments about someone's caste, gender, denomination, disability, language or level of experience. Beginners are not a burden; they are the point.
- 02
The challenge owner's voice comes first
Build what they need, not what would look good in your portfolio. Ask before you change the scope.
- 03
Handle data as if it were your family's
Real data stays on approved systems, is never copied to a personal device, and is deleted after the weekend unless the owner asks otherwise.
- 04
Faith is present, never forced
We pray together and we make room for people who do not. Nobody is pressured, and nobody is sidelined for opting out.
- 05
Report anything that feels wrong
Tell any city lead in person. Reports are handled by two people, kept confidential, and can result in someone being asked to leave.
